MAYOR MA. LOURDES C. FERNANDO
STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS
6th Regular Session of the 5th City Council of Marikina
10 February 2010
I stand before you tonight to deliver my last State of the City Address as your incumbent City Mayor. I stand here brimming with confidence that we have accomplished what we have set out to do for our city.
Steadfastly and painstakingly, we have revitalized our city over the past nine years. There is no better proof of our milestones in governance than the respect and admiration that our city enjoys both nationally and internationally. In many instances, we have provided benchmarks, and we have set the tone that inspired countless Filipinos to believe that change is possible.

NTC likewise announced that effective July 23, unsolicited or promotional text messages would be prohibited.
